Shipping Zones & Weight Bands

Set your rates by where a parcel is going and what it weighs.

How shipping works

Rates come from a grid with two sides:

  • Zones, geographic regions made up of one or more countries
  • Weight bands, weight ranges (e.g. 0-500g, 500g-1kg)

Every cell where a zone meets a weight band holds a price. At checkout, Mytho looks up the customer's country, finds the matching zone, totals the cart weight, finds the matching weight band, and charges that rate.

Setting up zones

  1. Go to Shipping in your dashboard
  2. Click Add zone
  3. Name the zone (e.g. "UK", "Europe", "North America")
  4. Select the countries that belong to this zone
  5. Enable Rest of World on one zone to catch countries not covered by your other zones

Setting up weight bands

Weight bands sound fiddly. In practice it is a couple of minutes of typing.

  1. Go to the Weight bands tab
  2. Click Add weight band
  3. Set the weight range (e.g. 0-500g)
  4. Repeat for each weight range you need

Setting prices

With zones and weight bands in place, you fill in the price matrix.

  1. Open the Matrix tab and find the cell where a zone meets a weight band
  2. Click the cell to edit it
  3. Enter the shipping cost
  4. Leave a cell empty if you don't ship that combination

The Matrix tab warns you when combinations are missing rates. A missing combination falls back to another band's rate in that zone, which can under- or overcharge the buyer, so it's worth pricing every cell. A zone with no rates at all blocks checkout for its countries; those buyers see a friendly error asking them to contact the shop.

Product weights

For the matrix to do its job, every physical product needs a weight.

  1. Edit a product
  2. Enter the weight in grams
  3. The right shipping rate is applied automatically at checkout

Print on Demand

Selling Printful products too? The Print on Demand tab handles their side of shipping:

  • Where POD products ship: everywhere Printful posts (the default), only your shipping zones, or a set of regions you tick. The cart's country dropdown follows whichever you pick, and a mixed cart flags any item that can't reach the chosen country until the buyer sorts it.
  • Check live rates: quote Printful's real shipping for your imported products, to any country Printful posts to.

POD items are priced by your matrix like everything else unless you turn on Printful live rates in Settings → Integrations. With live rates on, Printful items are charged Printful's own rate at checkout (plus any handling markup you set) while your own products stay on the matrix. More in Print on Demand.

Free shipping: Set a price of 0 in the matrix for free shipping on specific zone/weight combinations. You can also set a free shipping threshold in Discounts.

Rest of World: Enable this on a zone to catch countries not covered by your other zones. That way every customer can check out, even if their country isn't in a named zone.
